My mom started talking about starting a blog a couple weeks ago, and I thought that sounded pretty interesting. So here I am, writing my own blog. I am just like all you other kids out there, except I might have different interests than you do. A huge interest for me is writing. I LOVE TO WRITE. So I was thinking, why don't I let my viewers vote on which story they like best?
Do me a favor and read these three chapters, out of three different stories, and vote on which story you'd like to hear the rest of. I'll give you the information on how to do that at end of this blog.
STORY ONE
"Go clean your room!" Mr. Rinker shouted at his daughter.
"I agree with your father," Mrs. Rinker said to April. April was eleven years old and her room was a dump. But she never bothered to clean it up. She trudged up the stairs and entered her "bedroom".
April picked up the clothes on the floor and turned her closet light on. When she twirled around to pick up the rest of her stuff, she noticed something peculiar on her dresser. She moved towards it to get a closer look which blocked the light from the closet. There was nothing there. She moved away but noticed it had happened again. This time she was careful not to get in the light's way.
Her picture frame, which usually held a photo of my family had disappeared. It seemed to be possessing a photo of an old rickety book case with lots of old books. One seemed to stick out. Not in difference, but literally. She placed her hand right behind the picture frame and pushed hard.
The wall lurched so suddenly that April jumped back. Clouds of dust crowded around her, and once they rested, she saw the exact same bookcase that she had seen in her frame.
The book that literally stuck out, seemed to be labeled '
Fairy Tales' but she couldn't quite make it out. She pulled it softly, and right before her eyes light poured into darkness so black it seemed white. She took a great risk and jumped in. She fell until it felt like the world was going to end. When she finally landed hard on a dark tile that she didn't know was faraway from home. She looked at herself and noticed that she was dress in a periwinkle evening gown.
The towering windows around her were draped in red velvet curtains, the walls were a bright gold , and there was a lot of talking beyond the corner in front of her.
She quickly stepped over to the wall and realized that she was wearing high heels. Her eyes glanced over to all the commotion, and there, in ballgown and all, was
Cinderella.
STORY TWO
My name is Kaylen, and I am almost your average sixth grader. I'm not the prettiest girl in the school, but I am not the ugliest. I have dark brown hair that seems to have a mind of its own. I know, I know you want me to tell you why i am writing this book or why I am telling you about my self. Well my life so far had not been the greatest. I'm not the best at the sports you love, but I am smart some call me logical. I always get good report cards, so at least I'm not dumb. See my life had been pretty normal and I thought it always would be. But little did I know back then.
"Come on mom," I said impatiently. It was finally spring break and we were going to be late for the air port. It was my first trip on the plane without my parents. My dad was still at work of coarse, and I was going to see my best friend Tarrise in Vancouver,Canada. I lived in Tallahassee,Florida. Yeah,I know what you're thinking, that was going to be a long, boring, long, and not to mention boring ride. Well, I would have to get over it. I
thought I was prepared enough though. Emphasis on
thought.
STORY THREE
The sun was scorching hot on her skin, and was blazing in her eyes. Julie was sitting in a lounge chair under her favorite pink and blue polka-dot umbrella, on the shores of seaside beach. Her toes were buried under the hot sand, and she was reading her favorite book while listening to the rumble of the waves.
Foot steps crept up behind her and she turned her head and saw her annoying little sister Ella.
"Hey, why aren't you starting on the sand castle?'' She questioned. ''We agreed to build one.''
''You agreed to build one, not I agreed to build one,'' Julie remarked. Ella was always pestering Julie, but she could never figure out why.
Before she cold go back to reading, she saw a sail coming towards the beach.
''Mornin' Julie, how are ya'?" A smile wiped across his tanned face. "Want a ride? Be sure to have a parent with you though.'' This was Mr. Jonathon, he was a good family friend. Julie's uncle walked up to them and offered to go. After her mom gave them permission to go, they walked towards the ocean and got their life vests on.
''You two stand here and I'll work the sails,'' Mr. Jonathon pointed to the board. Julie and her uncle hopped on the board, and they rode off into the big blue waves of the ocean. They were riding across the waves like the dolphins Julie had seen so many times before, when something silver streaked across the dark blue background.
''A flying Fish!'' Julie exclaimed.more and more arrived flying beyond them. But before long the group of friends had gone too far and had to surf back to shore.
